For as far back as I can remember, I've enjoyed studying the Bible.  So I've written thousands of papers, articles, etc. - about 50 years worth.  Some have been published, but stacks and boxes full have not been.

In these Biblical studies, I'll use quotes from various versions with appropriate references of course.  Where clarification of language differences or nuances, notes will be listed.

There are some things to keep in mind when doing studies - be it Biblical or any other topic.  One needs to remember to keep an open mind.  When reading any text, consider the context in which it is written - the times, the people, the lands - everything.  If you take a text out of context, you can easily be conned by it. Below is a downloadable, printable jpeg image that can serve as a reminder.

Context - Text = Con   Context - Text = Con 2

You can use these as posters, T-shirt imprints, or just something to tack on a corkboard next to your desk.  I've given these to people for almost 30 years.

I provide it in two formats.  I rather like the one on the left better.  But I provide both so you can take your pick.

If it seems perhaps whimsical to you, I suggest the more you think about it, the more it will make sense.
